Take the Green Moutain Road off the Channel Parkway toward the Apex Mountain Resort. Twisty and scenic.

Turn off to the right to go to Apex Mountain. Twisty, steep, scenic and cool at elevation. You must come back down the same route.

Turn right and continue on highway 3A to Olalla.

Watch your speed through Olalla.

Take a left onto Upper Bench Road. It turns into Barcello Road. This is more scenic but slower than Highway 3. Stay right and enter Keremeos if you need gas / washrooms.

Rejoin highway 3 heading south to the border.

Turn right to the Nighthawk border crossing.

It looks like the road doesn't go over the border on the google map but it does. You will need to show ID at the US border. Head south to Loomis.

You can go left or right now. The route forms a loop. Right to Loomis then Oroville and back. Left to Oroville and then Loomis and back.

Palmer Lake. Excellent fishing lake.

Mountain sheep are often spotted along this road. Usually on the adjacent hills.

Stop for gas and food at the local convenience store.

More fishing at Spectacle Lake.

Take highway 7 for a scenic route with twisties. Take 97 N if you are in a hurry to get back to Canada or Go south on 7 to Tonasket and look for a silver slipstream trailer in the middle of town. They sell pretty good Mexican food. Benches available to sit on.

Watch for Bison on farms.

Gas and food available from several restaurants and convenience stores.

Rejoin the scenic twisties back to the border crossing at Nighthawk.

Follow the river past the dam. Visiting the dam may be possible. Never tried it.

Turn right to go the Nighthawk border crossing. Follow the route back to Penticton.
