  • Penticton, BC

  • Take the Green Moutain Road off the Channel Parkway toward the Apex Mountain Resort. Twisty and scenic.

  • Turn off to Apex Mountain

    at 20km
  • Turn off to the right to go to Apex Mountain. Twisty, steep, scenic and cool at elevation. You must come back down the same route.

  • Join Highway 3A

    at 34km
  • Turn right and continue on highway 3A to Olalla.

  • Olalla

    at 41km
  • Watch your speed through Olalla.

  • Upper Bench Road

    at 46km
  • Take a left onto Upper Bench Road. It turns into Barcello Road. This is more scenic but slower than Highway 3. Stay right and enter Keremeos if you need gas / washrooms.

  • Highway 3

  • Rejoin highway 3 heading south to the border.

  • Exit to Nighthawk Border Crossing

  • Turn right to the Nighthawk border crossing.

  • Cross the US Border

  • It looks like the road doesn't go over the border on the google map but it does. You will need to show ID at the US border. Head south to Loomis.

  • Start of Loomis Loop

  • You can go left or right now. The route forms a loop. Right to Loomis then Oroville and back. Left to Oroville and then Loomis and back.

  • Palmer Lake

  • Palmer Lake. Excellent fishing lake.

  • Mountain Sheep Sighting

  • Mountain sheep are often spotted along this road. Usually on the adjacent hills.
