while in wimberley, if its very early on a weekday morning, stop at the wimberley cafe on the square for breakfast. don't expect them to be fast though...

this is highway 32, aka devils backbone. you will pass rileys bar, and devils backbone tavern on your left. behind the tavern they make great bbq sandwiches on sundays, but that bar is cash only!

turn right here - there is a sign that says canyon lake dam.

ride up here to get a gorgeous view of the lake. don't miss this.

left at the end of river rd, then left on greune rd

stop at the biker bar by the river, or head across the bridge for some food and beverage at the gristmill.

you'll have to go through san marcos to get back to austin. nice trip through the back roads from here, though...

turn left after the river under the train bridge...
