If the turn looks dicey or dangerous with heavy traffic or poor visibility, you can go to the right instead for a few hundred yards and pull into the Sunoco to turn around and head back the other way. Doing this will allow you to very easily and safely very off to the right where you should have turned left coming form the other direction.
