  • You really start up into the mountains here. There are some small villages up there, but no more services for a a while so if you need gas, make sure you get it before passing this point.

  • Okuyamada Village

    at 16km
  • The old road gives way to a new bypass here. People who want to bore on through should stick to the main road, others may want to try and get on the old road. The old road is pretty dangerous and the surface is deteriorating so while it is a nice ride, its not really a fast one.

  • Tunnels

  • You should be leaving the tunnel around here.

  • Green Road

  • You find yourself on an excellent road, heading down a long, gentle slope. Its easy to go fast, but the police often place a speed trap in this area, so be careful.

  • You should be seeing small pottery stores and other shops around here. They are fun to stop and check out.

  • Shigaraki

    at 30km
  • Shigaraki is famous for its pottery. There are lots of factory discount stores etc. There is lots of fun stuff to see, so stop and look around. Its a good end to a quick day trip.
