As far as I can tell, this is the closest legally accessible gravel to Victoria. Expect lots of company on the weekends.

The loop ride is a pleasant putt in the woods, though wickedly slippery on wet autumn leaves. The road beyond Diversion Dam is potholed and can be muddy in places. No real challenges. The route stays on the south road between Diversion and Bear Ck Reservoirs, in spite of what the app insists. All roads north of the Reservoirs seem to be behind impassable gates.

The Jordan River canyon is fairly impressive. See some dams, and ride across one.

  • Water crossing. If you can do this, you can ride the entire loop.

  • Bear Creek Reservoir dam. There's a waterfall at the far end of the dam, coming down into the spillway. Watch out for the reservoir dogs, their owners and all of the camping garbage they leave behind.
