Make right onto Garnet (West)

Merge onto SR52 East

Merge onto Rt. 52 Eastbound and ride to East County.

Take Rt. 125 South to Rt. 8 East.

Merge on to Rt. 8 East

Merge onto the SR. 67 Northbound

Make left onto Ashwood St.

Ashwood St. will turn into Wildcat Canyon Rd. as you cross Willow Rd.

**NOTE** Wildcat Canyon road can be a hazardous road as there are various areas of construction still going on in an effort to accommodate the increase in traffic into Ramona. Expect new roads and some traffic during weekly rush hour.

Caution: Wildcat Canyon Road has extreme curves and falling rock areas.

**NOTE** This is the Barona Casino. If you "really" like to take risks, this might be a great stop for a few hours. Good luck!

Make left onto San Vicente Rd.

Make right onto Main St. (SR78 East)

Make left onto Wynola Rd. (GORGEOUS mountain scenery into Jullian!

CAUTION: Wynola road has extreme curves and old roads. Falling rock is not uncommon. *Advanced riding*

Julian is an old 19th century gold mining town. Est. before the Civil War, in the mid 1800s. The entire town is a Historical Landmark and architecture has changed very little since incorporated. Known for their annual Apple Pies and Antiques. A Must Visit!

**ATTENTION** GET GAS!! (Even if you're at 3/4 tank! FILL UP HERE!!) (Last chance for gas for 100 miles.) **ENTERING HIGH DESERT**

CAUTION: Although these roads are very well maintained and have clear road markers, there is a significant down grade and sporadic areas of congested traffic because of the limited visibility around hair pin turns. DO NOT get over confident! Ride safe.

Make left on to Rt.79 Eastbound

Make right onto Rt.76 Northbound (Pala Rd.)

**WARNING** Steep Grade and very winding roads. Expect gusting winds from the Lake at high altitude.

Proceed strait across junction [SR7 becomes SR6] (Alt. about 5000ft)

**NOTE** This is a quaint little stop/Rest area. Public bathrooms, food, general store. Seasonal.

Make left from parking lot back onto S. Grade Road to Observatory.

Palomar Mountain Observatory. You're at mid ride, here. I hope you filled up the tank in Julian, cuz you're going to need the fuel. Elv. 5400Ft.

**NOTE:OPTION** You have a choice here. The route I've created is one that keeps you on main State Routes as much as possible. Looking at the map you can see the "State Park Rd." junction. This is an absolutely gorgeous alternate route that will take you for a breath-taking ride on an alternate road with beautiful tree cover. The milage from the route I've mapped out and the "State Park Rd." alternate is almost the same distance. State park Dr. will become SR7 (Nate Harrison Rd./Nate Harrison Grade) and will end at SR76 (Pala Rd.) about 4 miles ahead of the original mapped route. follow the route from Point 1811 on the route.

Make right onto SR6 Westbound (Palomar Mountain Rd.) AKA S. Grade Rd.

Elv. 5200Ft.

Merge onto SR76 (Pala Rd.)

CAUTION: These are very hairy roads** Advanced riding.

Elv. 1500Ft.

Make left onto I-15 Southbound.

Merge right to SR163 Southbound. (Cabrillo Frwy)

Merge right onto SR52 W.

Merge to the right onto I-5 Southbound

Stay to the right and remain on the exit ramp to Mission Bay/Garnet exit.

Exit off the I-5 onto Mission Bay Dr.

Make right onto Garnet Ave.
