Reefton need no introduction , but the Thornton /Jamieson road is good if a little bumpy ( it was only recently sealed in parts ), generally very clean and free of loose stonesand tree debris. Very technical in parts , 100kph posted minimal traffic . Return either the same way or as posted and take the easier road out by Mansfield then back thro the Black Spur ( heavily Policed) and home .
