Take Omeo Hwy/Great Alpine Rd (follwo Signs to Bruthen) to bypass Lakes Entrance and mainstream traffic

Have not taken the Bruthen-Buchan Rd, but looks like a short cut

Check that there is still fuel at Buchan. If you have a small fuel range, get fuel at Orbost first

Should be fuel & food here. Road is still tar

Beware of logging trucks using all of road

Start to drop down to the river. This is stunning scenery. Beware loose surfaces

Turn Left for Jindbyne or Right for Snowy Mountain Hwy
