Start

Failford

Bullocky Way to Pacific Highway

Burrell

Follow dirt through Possum Brush, Hillville to Buckets Way

Kimbriki Road

local tar back rd

Mt George

Knodingbul Road

major dirt rd with numerous loop options east or west that rejoin later. eg Blue Mountains Creek Rd west. Some old forestry tracks off main drag are now not maintained so be prepared to jump logs or turn around.

Corner of Causeway Rd to East

Turn east on to Causeway rd Maxwells Flat Camping area about half way along. just an open paddock, pit toilet, fire place table. Great noturnal wildlife
continue straight ahead on main rd

Decision Corner

Do I head north for latte at Gingers and fuel?
OR am I a real ADR nuffy and head into the Cells River Area?
Prolly wise not to solo this section in the wet OR have Sat phone with you.

SCA sign

Going DOWN to get dirty

Decision Corner Two

Now you are at the creek, you can stay and play nicely, no ruts etc, OR you can go up and out to Gingers for that Latte.

Take the time to look for old stamper battery and remnants of Gold Mining days. I'm just weird, I love industrial history.

If wet harder to go this way

Head up to Grassy Ridge. SOME private land holders have now locked boundary gates due to user stupidity. Please respect this environmentally sensitive area and ride sensibly. NPWS will shut it all if users stuff it up any more.

Oxley Hwy

west for body and bike fuel at Gingers Creek or East to push on to Walcha for same. Depends how buggered ya feeling. After latte at Gingers head west along Oxley

Decision corner 3

Do I head home south by turning left here down Enfield Rd cause I'm only on day release OR do I got a 3day ADR itch that needs scratching? Yep, knew you'd see it my way. Lets push on for pastures northern.

Kangaroo Flat Rd

hang a right(nth west) Many alternate fire trails nth of Gingers (seaview etc) if you want to stay and play but we're heading for Pub With No Beer remember.

follow your nose out to Mooraback

again lots of diversions if you are so inclined or save them for another day.

Keep heading for Mooraback

A visit to Youdales Hut is good

fees and Keys from NPWS in Walcha first, if you follow every rule in life.
If staying at Million Star Mooraback camp ground, follow the signs. If not head on

Racecourse Trail

nice ride through the forest. NPWS did some improvements up here Jan 2007, but trail conditions vary considerably

Keep Following Racecourse Trail towards Coachwood

Turn North onto Coachwood

was signposted in January 2007. Log jumping or bush detours are usual along Coachwood to Kookaburra Hut

minor trails off Coachwood are now mainly shut to Joe public

If wet, some nice little creeks to cross. You ADR guys will love it.

A look out in here somewhere

I rely on paper and CDF not those new fangled gizmo thing a me bobs that talk to satellites. How adventurous do you wanna be?

enjoyed the climb?

Just follow your nose, only obvious track anyway.

Kenderang used to be a shit load of fun till it was shut some yrs ago

keep heading for Kookaburra Hut north up Coachwood

on ridge between Oxley and Willi Willi NP. High country and ...

on ridge between Oxley and Willi Willi NP. High country and worth looking for photo ops.

Flat Top Rd

No access sign on right, straight on along Coachwood

Old Kookaburra Mill Area

NPWS Kookaburra Hut is here. Very basic but cheap. Old mill village with lots of history. Take time to have a look around at remnants. Some lookouts in area as well. Marys View 12kms west out Carrai Rd is bloody spectacular. Water tank stand almost rotted, fridge didn't work and paper wasps were having a ball in January 2007. We have stayed here many times and great to use as a base if you want to explore more up on the Plateau. Often wet but camping is also Ok. Old school building next door is owned now by Kempsey Boy scouts. Key from Port macquarie or Sth West Rocks National Parks offices.

follow your nose down Coachwood

a few private off limits rds

caution down the hill needed

some abandoned farms

Can turn sth east here and head back to civilisation via Willi Willi back dirt rd

Sherwood winery worth a look before rejoining Highway at Sth kempsey

Fuel decision corner

Willawarrin or Bellbrook? You choose.
My ride goes to Pub With No beer so I'm going for Willawarrin.

Toorooka Bridge

top spot for a dip in the river when its hot

Back on tar Armidale Kempsey Rd

get fueled up again

Turn nth east

head for Millbank

take your pick

more back roads or quickly to the Pub With No Beer for a brewski or twoski?

Nearing Nirvana

my choice was obvious, yes?

Pot of Gold = Pub With No Beer

Murrays Brews are FANTASTIC. Great meals, great camping or accomadation.
