The backroad through Kayuga and Wybong is all tar, a bit rough in places .
The road travels through coalmines to Sandy Hollow
The Bylong Valley Way from Sandy Hollow to Rylestone is great riding country .
From Undulating Hills to windy mountain roads with sheer cliff faces in some places.

Bylong store has great coffee and food and fuel.

Small country town with all facilities

Sofala is an old Gold Mining Town . Roads are still great bike roads

Turn here to Crookwell

This was the first overnight stop in the van park.
Good Showers and great feed at the pub that night.

Met up with a plague of grasshoppers which made a mess of the bikes.
The Bikes : Joe on a GSX1400 , Paul on a Suzuki DL650 and Doug (Me) Can Am Spyder F3-S . Which started the trip New.

Now into the Snowy

Boiled the billy at Dead Horse Gap just south of Thredbo

Roads are all Blacktop ,very smooth , very windy and not very wide have to be careful with oncoming traffic

2nd night ,Van park on edge of town ,Has fuel and food . Good Value and Good people

Very Scenic road but 70Km of dirt road . Was told it was hard packed and smooth .
This was in Feb 2017 and Xmas traffic had smashed it up . Was 2 inches of bulldust.

It was here we realised we were not going to make it to the Spirit of Tassie.

Sat on Freeway to here trying to make up time Boring .Hate Freeways.
So stayed in Dandenong the night and headed for the Great Ocean Road next day
