The way points of this motorcycle route:
instead of taking the 2 hr trip to bombay via NH4, this was a more pictureque route. country roads, forests, rock formations, tel baila pics, sudhagad fort. not a bad road except 20 kms of gravel :-). if camping is on cards, mulshi lake is calling.
take right at this fork
turn right here. straight goes to sahara and ambavne village.
saltar dam and lake.. did boating here
fork for telbaila village with a signboard, so u cant go wrong
ask the tea shop owner at village for this campsite
taking a right turn here takes you to the twin peaks of tel baila
nice place to camp
lovely view of the gorge from here. nice spot to camp on, with a lake nearby
turnoff to lonavla on SH60 (connecting NH17 at kolad to pune via tamhini ghat, mulshi lake and paud)
entering NH17 (mumbai-goa) and 127 kms to mumbai from here.
