The way points of this motorcycle route:

bandera,texas

cowboy capital of the world. check out "arky blues silver dollar saloon" on main street.

medina, texas

check out the "cider mill", it's located on the right hand side of the main drag, of course there is only one main drag thru town!!

leakey

pronounced "lakey" by it's residents. make sure to stop and visit the "motorcycle stop" just after you pass the red light on the left. opened on thursday thru sundays, they serve the best brisket in that part of texas. for you small feul tanks, you need to gas up here!

campwood

neat little community with some nice smooth roads!

rocksprings

highest point in the hill country, elevation is something like 2450 feet. another fuel stop.

bandera

this trip is a little over 175 miles, it can be made in one day, if you do not daddle too long in medina and leakey. the roads are in excellent shape, and some are a little slow going in places......... word of note, DO NOT attempt this ride before sun up or after sun down! the deer are everywhere on the roads during the nightime hours and are very hard to see then! also, if it's been raining any, be careful, there are a few "low water crossings along this route and can get too deep for a motorcycle to cross during or immediately after a thunderstorm! happy trails
