
The way points of this motorcycle route:
26-28 Browns Plains Road(opposite Grande Plaza Shopping Centre), Browns Plains
Access Road to Mt Lindesay Hwy
Proceed towards Jimboomba and Beaudesert
Continue south on the Mt Lindesay Hwy to Beaudesert
Continue south towards Rathdowney, turning right in Beaudesert township, but you will be turning off prior to Rathdowney at Innisplain
Turn left into Innisplain Road. Mind your speed as there are some steep entrances and exits on the creek crossings. We were unable to organise sole use of this road so there will be other vehicles on the road - be cosiderate.
At the top of the range is the border crossing between NSW and Qld where the tick gates are still manned DO NOT STOP AT THE TOLL/COLLECTION BOOTH-it will cause a traffic jam. We will organise the toll
Innisplain Road will turn into Running Creek Road at about here-continue along Running Creek Road
Along with the amazing rainforests, the highlight is the spectacular railway engineering feat of the Border Loop and a treat for rail enthusiasts.
Built as a Lions Club project to allow travellers to visit the forests, the Lions Road criss-crosses Running Creek and Gradys Creek on the Queensland and New South Wales border at the famous tick gate.
Running Creek Road will become the Lions Road. Continue on towards Coogal
Remember you are about to enter NSW and the police here are not as nice as the Qld kind.

Lookout turnoff 150 meters. You have the option of going to the lookout or continuing to our COFFEE STOP 15 minutes away
Lookout is approximately 500meters. Drive with care- if we have 30 cars or more they will not all fit. Turn off here or continue to "Ripples on the Creek"
To enable trains to cross the Border Ranges, engineers had to find a means of gaining altitude at a reasonable gradient. The answer was this ingenious spiral loop.
The Lions Road will become Grady's Creek Road and we will follow this all the way to Summerland Way.
Around here is a Cafe/Restaurant called "Ripples on the Creek" on the LHS of the road at a creek crossing. This is our stopping point for morning tea.
Turn left into Summerland Way and head for Kyogle
In Kyogle, turn left into Fawcetts Plain Rd (at Nimbin & Murwillumbah sign), then right (about 1km later) into Kyogle Road and head for Uki and Muwillumbah
Continue to Murwillumbah
Kyogle Road will become Riverview Street
Left into Wollumbin Street
Bridge across the Tweed River
Left into Tweed Valley Way
Turn left into Riverside Drive
You are looking for Tumbulgum Tavern
Turn left after the bridge into Terranora Road
Left into Dulguigan Road
Left into into Tomewin Road
Right into Numinbah Road
Left into Nerang Murwillumbah Road
Left into Nathan/Murwillumbah Road
Mt Nathan Road turns into Beaudesert Nerang Road
Turn right into Maudsland Road
Maudsland Road becomes Tamborine Oxenford Road
Turn left at the roundabout onto the Old Pacific Hwy. This is the end of the drive but there is a shopping Centre on the right if coffee is required.
