
The way points of this motorcycle route:
Meeting Point Berowra Mobil 8.30 am for a 9 am departure. Fuel/food/toilets available. Fill your tank here before the ride.
Turn left onto Pacific Highway.
Turn left at lights onto Berowra Waters Road.
Continue straight through roundabout.
Turn right onto Berowra Waters Road at roundabout.
Turn left at roundabout and continue on Berowra Waters Road.
Turn right and continue on Berowra Waters Road.
Start of the down hill section. Some real narrow sections with some bumps along here with a few hairpins thrown in as well. Watch for traffic coming up the hill. They tend to hog all the road.
Berowra Waters Car Ferry. Cross on the ferry to continue. Car ferry no. 1.
Berowra Waters Marina. Food/toilets available here. Have a coffee and some cake and feed the scraps to the mullet that frequent the water under the cafes veranda. Continue on straight ahead on Bay Road.
Swing around to the left and continue on straight ahead on Arcadia Road.
Turn right and stay on Arcadia Road. This corner is tight and may have some gravel on the verges.
Turn right onto Arcadia Road.
Turn left onto Arcadia Road.
Cafe on right. Good stop for coffee/food.
Turn right onto Wylds Road.
Turn right onto Old Northern Road.
Turn left onto Cattai Ridge Road.
Veer right onto Halcrows Road. Can be some gravel on intersection.
Turn right onto Wisemans Ferry Road. There might be some gravel build up on this intersection.
Turn left onto Sackville Ferry Road.
Cross the Hawkesbury River on the Sackville Car Ferry. This is ferry no. 2.
Toilets are available on the park overlooking the river.
Stop here to regroup and have toilet break. Continuing on Sackville Road.
Turn right onto West Portland Road and head up the hill.
Turn right to go to Lower Portland Car Ferry. This corner comes up very quickly and is easy to overshoot and go over the brigde.
Cross the Hawkesbury River once again on the Lower Portland Car Ferry. This is car ferry no. 3.
Regroup here until everbody crosses th river. Then turn left onto River Road. This road is narrow and has gravel in some corners. Watch out for traffic as they tend to hog the road towing their boats.
Turn left and cross the Hawkesbury River once again on the Webbs Creek Car Ferry. This is ferry no. 4.
Turn right onto St Albans Road.
Road used to be gravel at this point and is now tar all the way to St Albans.
Find a shady spot to park the bike and grab a locally brewed beer and a snack at the historic St Albans Pub. Returning to Wisemans Pub via Settlers Road which is gravel and potholes, alternativly return via Webbs Creek ferry staying on the tar. Turn left from the pub into Wharf Street.
Turn right onto Bulga Street. This then turns into Settlers Road.
Continue straight on Settlers Road.
Turn right and cross the Hawkesbury River again on the Wisemans Car Ferry. This is ferry no. 5.
After crossing the river head to Wisemans Ferry Pub for lunch and rejoin the other riders who didn't do the St Albans loop. You can grab a coffee or a snack at the kiosk in the park.
Grab some lunch and a spot in the beer garden in the Wisemans Pub. After lunch we will head back to the Wisemans Car Ferry to head back along the Spencer Road. Alternatively you can return via the Old Northern Road to Dural.
Cross the river once again on the Wisemans Car Ferry.
Turn right onto Wisemans Ferry Road and head towards Spencer.
Grad a coffee or a snack at the Spencer General Store. Fuel also available here.
This uphill section is a good bit of road on a bike. Watch for some gravel though on some corners.
Turn right onto George Downes Drive.
Turn right onto Peats Ridges Road.
Fuel up at Peats Ridge service station. Toilets/food also available.
Nice set of wide sweeping corners through here. Good blast if no police around.
Take the Sydney Exit. If you go left you will end up on the Sydney-Newcastle Freeway.
Turn right onto the Old Pacific Highway.
Turn left onto the Old Pacific Highway. Watch out for a police present on the Old Road as it is 60 kph for most of the way.
Stop for a coffee and a snack at the Road Warriors Cafe, Mt White. Popular bike stop for riders of the Old Road. Toilets available.
Crossing the Hawkesbury River for the final time on the twin bridges.
Stop for the last time for a coffee and a blueberry tart and ice-cream at the Pie in the Sky. Toilets available.
Watch for police around the 60 kph zone through Cowan.
