The way points of this motorcycle route:
Near the intersection of Cooley and US 97
Look for Wanker Drive and Wimp Way on the left. Wanker is south of town and Wimp is north. Who names these places?
This road to the right doesn't look like much...but wait...
Take a right to Fossil and a spectacular ride over a mountain range. Take a left to get back to 97N via Shaniko. If you go left, check out the hotel in Shaniko.
Some great fossil viewing here. The next part of the road is incredible. Watch for the view from on top as you descend to Fossil.
Couple of good places to eat here. One is mainly a bar, the other a great hamburger joint.
Bear left at the intersection or the route is cut short by a quick spin back to the Ochoco Highway.
Take a right at the intersection to head back to Prineville and Bend.
Heading toward Prineville, you will go over Ochoco Summit. Wonderful Oregon forest scenery.
