Are there limits to creating Routes

    I have noticed that there are numerous posted routes well over 1260 points (7000+) or in excess of 200klms(740+klms).
    When I created and tried to save a route though it wouldn't let me save the total distance 281klms with just over 1600points. I had to break it down into 3 stages which are all quite substantially different lengths and also had information added to numerous points. Is there a data limit set for routes or am I doing something wrong

    It seems I must have been doing something wrong as I now have been able to save the full ride I wanted to create. But still think that this information would be helpful to anyone wanting to post a ride up.

    what happens if you want to do the really big one like the Ewan Mc Gregor trip without the Helicopter and ambulance and 15 4x4 road support crew as well as the camera crew is this madness?

    Two madmen want to do the really big one why can't we plot the insanity of my minds dementia or should I say our minds can I not just plot apologising already for my incompetence having just joined can anyone answer this?
