There's two sections of dirt, about 15kms total. Heading north the first section begins around Bete Bolong, is actually gravel and runs for about 10kms. The second section starts at Delegate River (NSW border), is dirt and runs for about 5kms. Note the second section has a pretty sandy covering but the wheel tracks are usually clear, just don't do what I did and get within spitting distance of the tarmac and try to snow plow the sand with the front wheel.<g> Otherwise this is an absolutely magic road and a brilliant alternative to the Cann River route.
